Nice! Looks like you have good social media presence on all fronts so I'm sure it's just a matter of time before things pick up steam. I'll keep an eye out for opportunities to share it whether that's on Reddit or elsewhere. I'm also surprised and a little concerned about there being so little hype around the show itself. r/asimov is focused on the books and a lot of people are pessimistic about the show. I understand their reasons, but so far from what info/teasers I've actually seen of the show it looks like there is a lot to look forward to.

The First Foundation succeed in the first book by thinking on their feet though and not through extra mental abilities.

There is another explanation for mental powers in the original trilogy: they are a result of Second Foundationers being experts in psychology. Essentially, the idea is that if you are a really good psychologist, trained since an early age, you are pretty much telepathic. And psychohistory in the original trilogy is seen as a development of psychology applied to large groups, that's where the name comes from. So the two are connected originally. That doesn't contradict experimental treatments or the genetic angle. It's perfectly possible that being good in the psychology department can be enhanced with some treatment and depends on genes. But in the TV series Salvor Hardin can predict coin tosses, and that isn't something you can achieve by being a really good psychologist. I see two possibilities to keep it compatible with the original idea: 1. Gaal, who is telling us the Foundation story, isn't telling us the whole truth. The coin toss story is in place of some other event similar to a coin toss. Salvor correctly predicted something that most people would think was pure chance. 2. Salvor is claiming that she can predict coin tosses just to cause an impression, but she's just using a loaded coin and it has nothing to do with her mental powers.

I think it is a good balance of made up stuff and adherence. As long as it's good, I'm happy. I've seen worse adaptations

"If it goes into SF horror direction, I'll be horrified and stop watching. Episode 8 was nasty but tolerable. If it goes much further in that direction, maybe I won't be watching the second season" I believe the show is trying to feel its way into figuring out what works. My premise, the Discipleship of JJ Abrams, is that they'll keep all options open and test the reaction of audiences as time goes by. So if the show fails at becoming the next 'Expanse' (IMHO, tough shoes to fill), they'll opt for the Sci-Fi/horror M.O. which may be the only recourse, as 'Supernatural' has 15 seasons of ideas to pilfer from, which only makes the job of schlock writers a whole lot easier. Right now, the problem many new shows have is that they have yesteryear's series, 'The Expanse', 'Dark Matter', 'Supernatural', 'Warehouse 13', etc, to form a comparison. They can't really start fresh w/o falling on their sword because a lot of ideas about Empires, Barbarians (at the Perimeter), Precognition, and Predestination are rather derivative.

I think the show should completely break with Asimov & Foundation and stop with the pretense. In effect, sure, we have a galaxy, an Imperium, a capital planet, a group of scientists, a rock of a world, two psychics, and a professor but that's kinda where it ends. The show should have started with 'Inspired by Foundation' and then, started the world building and not create so many cheap plots that it looks like 'The Manifest' team meets the writers of 'Lost' who discovered 'BSG' & 'The Expanse' scripts and tried to write their own based upon them.

For the last part : yes I hope that Salvor Hardin will be still the daughter of Abbas and Mari 😄
