• The ten-episode series will be shot in different parts of the municipality.
  

• This is the first filming of a full season of an international television series to take place in Fuerteventura.

The municipality of Tuineje will become the setting for the filming of the international television series 'Foundation', on the international content platform Apple TV.

It becomes the first production of these characteristics to be filmed on the island and which will involve an investment of approximately 10 million euros, in addition to the generation of several dozen jobs for service logistics, as well as for representation in the filming.

"This is a historic milestone for the municipality of Tuineje that also positions us as a natural set for filming series and movies, with the boost that this supposes to the economy", highlighted Mayoress Esther Hernández, who thanked the producer for his interest in the municipality.

In this sense, the Tuineje City Council has recently approved an ordinance that regulates audiovisual productions in the municipality, so that legal certainty is given to different issues that concern, for example, the use of public spaces.

For her part, the Councilor for Culture, Nélida Padilla, has emphasized the "opportunity this represents to diversify the cultural offer of the municipality and the future possibilities that may come to us to host new productions."

The series is written and produced by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight, Blade) and Josh Friedman (Avatar 2, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles). The production will be in charge of Skydance Television (Altered Carbon) with the participation of Robyn Asimov, daughter of the writer and who will also work as executive producer. In Fuerteventura, the production has been carried out by Sur Film. `Foundation is already one of the most anticipated series by science fiction fans.
